Privacy Policy
Effective October 4, 2026
Warfray is a mobile game where your daily steps count for your guild and your kingdom. This policy explains what the game collects, why, who can see it, and how you can have it deleted. If anything here is unclear, write to contact@warfray.app.
The short version
- We read one thing from your health data: your daily step count.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking, and we never sell your data.
- Other players see your name and your steps in battles. Nobody sees your email.
- You can delete your account and everything tied to it at any time.
What we collect
- Your Google account basics. You sign in with Google, which gives us your name and email address. Your name becomes your display name in the game, and you can change it. Your email is used only to sign you in and to answer you about your account. We never see your Google password.
- Your daily step counts. With your permission, Warfray reads how many steps you walked each day from Health Connect, for the last seven days. It reads them when you open the app and, if you allow it, in the background a few times a day, so your guild sees your steps without you opening the game. We read step counts only: no location, heart rate, sleep, weight or any other health data.
- What you do in the game. Your guild and role in it, your kingdom, the battles and challenges you take part in, requests to join a guild, and the battles for ground you join.
- A notification token. If you allow notifications, your phone gives us a token so we can tell you when your guild is challenged, a battle starts or ends, or your kingdom is attacked.
- When your steps were synced. The time of each sync and whether it came from the app or the background. We keep this for 30 days to find sync problems and to tell whether a guild captain still plays.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, advertising ID or device identifiers, and the app contains no advertising or analytics code.
How we use it
Only to run the game: counting each player's steps toward their guild's and kingdom's battles, keeping rankings, sending the notifications you allowed, and handing a guild to another member when its captain has not opened the game for 14 days. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to make decisions about you outside the game.
Health Connect
Warfray asks Health Connect for permission to read steps, and to read them in the background. You can withdraw either permission at any time in Health Connect on your phone; the game then stops receiving new steps. Warfray's use of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Step data is used only to provide the game's features, is never transferred to third parties for advertising or sold, and is never used to determine credit-worthiness or for lending.
Who can see what
- Other players can see your display name, your guild, your kingdom, and your step totals where they count: in your guild's battles, in battles for ground you joined, and in guild and kingdom rankings.
- Nobody else in the game can see your email address.
- Services that run the game for us handle data on our behalf and only to provide their service: Supabase (our database, sign-in and servers), Google (Sign in with Google and Health Connect), and Expo and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (delivering notifications).
We share data with nobody else, unless the law requires us to.
Storage and security
Your data is stored with Supabase and travels between your phone and our servers over encrypted connections. Access is limited on the server: a player can read only what the game shows them and change only their own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we collect to the minimum the game needs.
How long we keep it
As long as your account exists. Sync times are deleted after 30 days. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, your steps, your guild and kingdom memberships, your requests and your notification tokens. Results of battles that already ended keep their guild totals, without your name.
Your choices
- Change your display name in the game at any time.
- Stop step access in Health Connect, and notifications in your phone's settings.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be corrected, by email.
- Delete your account: see how to delete your account.
Children
Warfray is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page, and for an important change we will tell you in the game.
